Saved Reports
Personalized revenue analytics
A saved report stores the configuration of a chart report — its filters, segments, date range, granularity, and view options — under a name you choose. Reopen it later, and the report instantly re-applies that configuration to the current data. It's like saving your favorites with settings.
Saved reports live in the Saved reports dropdown below each chart in Reports, for fact access you can filter the report category.
What gets saved
A saved report stores the configuration, not the data:
- Date range and granularity
Segment by(one or both segments)- All applied filters
- Chart type toggle (line / bar) and any table-view selections
Underlying data is always live — open a saved report tomorrow and it shows tomorrow's data with the same filters and segments applied.
Save a configuration
Configure the chart the way you want, then in the top-right corner click Actions → Save as new. Enter a name (and optional description) and save.
The new entry appears in the Saved reports dropdown.
Same flow for the first save and every subsequent saveWhether you're on a fresh default chart or already viewing a saved report, Save as new is the only way to persist a configuration. There is no in-place "Save changes" — see Updating an existing report below for the pattern.
Updating an existing report
There is no in-place update. To modify a saved report, use one of these patterns:
- Iterate by cloning. Open the report → tweak filters / segments / dates → Actions → Save as new → give the new version a name. Original stays untouched. Once you're happy with the new one, optionally Delete the old.
- Rename only. If you just want to change the name or description, open the report → Actions → Rename.
This is intentional — saved configurations don't silently mutate when you experiment on top of them.
Rename
Open the report → Actions → Rename → update the name and
Delete
Open the report → Actions → Delete → confirm in the popup.
Deletion is immediate and not reversible. The underlying chart and data are unaffected — you're only removing the named configuration.
Share a report
Share URL still works in saved reports just as in a regular ones. The URL encode the full configuration.
FAQ
What's the difference between Save as new and a fresh save?
There is no difference in the UI — both use the same Save as new action. The distinction is only in what's happening: from a default chart it creates your first saved report; from an open saved report it creates a clone with whatever changes you made on top.
Can I update a saved report in place?
No. Save as new always creates a new entry. To "replace" an existing report, save the new version, then Delete the old one (or Rename them to keep both with clearer names).
Are saved reports visible to my teammates?
No, Saved Reports are per-user functionality and are not visible to everyone with access to the app, only to the creator.
Are saved reports tied to a specific app?
Yes — saved reports live under their chart inside a specific app. Switching to another app shows that app's own saved reports list.
Is there a limit on the number of saved reports per chart?
No.
What happens to a saved report if I lose access to a filter dimension, e.g., a custom user property is removed?
It will remain in analytics and will be shown for historical data, even though it will no longer be present among custom properties.
Does a saved report's data change retroactively?
Yes — saved reports store configuration, not data. Any retroactive changes to the underlying metrics (late refunds, backfilled receipts) are reflected the next time you open the report. See About Analytics → Production data only and Why do historical Proceeds keep changing for past months? for the rules.
